Haida Gwaii SLUA Open Houses

January 26-29, 2009

Open houses were held in several communities in January 2009 to provide island residents with an update on SLUA implementation activities.  Between January 26 and 29, open houses were held in Sandspit, Skidegate, Port Clements and Old Massett.    Representatives from the Council of the Haida Nation and the Province of British Columbia reported on the progress of Protected Area Planning and Detailed Strategic Planning.  Summaries of these two planning initiatives are available below.
