Strategic Land and Resource Planning
The Integrated Land Management Bureau (ILMB) is responsible for developing strategic direction for the management of Crown land and natural resources as well as maintenance of B.C.'s existing strategic land and resource planning legacy. Strategic Land and Resource Plans (SLRPs) provide increased certainty and form the foundation for balanced solutions that meet economic, environmental, and social requirements throughout the province. SLRPs guide not only government decision makers, but also those seeking natural resource development opportunities. Work is also ongoing throughout the province through ILMB to strategically engage with First Nations on a government to government basis and strategic land and resource planning is being viewed as one of the potential tools to support this process.
