Information Available Through Tantalis GATOR

Tantalis GATOR allows you to perform a variety of searches relating to Crown land. These include the ability to:

• identify original parcel survey structure and research history and survey type;
• determine the existence and location of survey field notes, survey plans and Crown grant information;
• determine whether the land is Crown or privately owned (the "status" of the parcel);
• review Land Act Crown transaction information associated with a particular parcel, such as leases, licenses, or reserves (the "tenure" or "interest" in the parcel);
• access information about the original title document ('Crown grant').

These records are called “attribute” information.

Sample Tantalis GATOR Images

The examples below are provided free of charge to give you an idea of the kinds of images you can download as a Tantalis GATOR user.

Although there is a "per image" charge for images retrieved through Tantalis GATOR, multiple returns (as seen in the sample searches below) are considered a single image and your account is debited only once.

For example, the Crown grant document and its accompanying sketch would count as one image, as would the 18 pages of field notes, including the two zoomable maps. For information on how to save these images to your desktop, please refer to our Tantalis GATOR Helpful Hints page.

Note: These are only examples. The number of pages in each field book will vary, and Crown grant documents may or may not include a sketch.
