This is your gateway to a wealth of British Columbia geographic information provided for research use by GeoBC, on behalf of the Integrated Land Management Bureau (ILMB) and the Integrated Cadastral Information Society (ICIS) working in partnership with the Ministry of Advanced Education and Labour Market Development (AVED) .
Here you will find a list of qualified post-secondary institutions and data librarians who can assist you, as well as information about the featured datasets, data use terms and conditions and a list of frequently asked questions.

Accessing Data
Accessing data from ICIS
Access requires an ICIS login ID. Please contact the ICIS Membership Coordinator to inquire about obtaining an ICIS ID. Please visit the ICIS website and login to gain access to the Member Web Map and Member Data Portal.
Accessing data from GeoBC
BCeID
Many of the datasets listed above are only accessible using an authorized business-classed BCeID. Please contact your institution's data librarian for more information about whether or not you will require a BCeID.

GeoBC Discovery Service
Please click here to use this service.
This service allows you to search and discover GeoBC geographic data and find out detailed information about specific data, such as the name of the data provider, data description, accuracy, attributes and frequency of update.
GeoBC Data Distribution Service
Please click here to use this service.
This service allows you to order GeoBC geographic data and download it for offline research use. The above link provides more instructions.
iMapBC
This service allows you to interactively visualize and analyze GeoBC geographic data directly from GeoBC’s map servers. Features, such as map markup, the capability to upload your custom geographic data and query make this service a comprehensive online research tool.
Two iMapBC application services are available: the public application provides access to publicly available data, including base map data. The restricted application is accessible using a business-class BCeID and provides access to additional data.
Web Map Services
You can add GeoBC maps directly into your Geographic Information System or map viewing tool of choice, including Google Earth. For example, rather than download base map data, just reference the map service that serves this data live from GeoBC’s servers.
