Early in 2007, the Forest Investment Council approved funding from the Forest Investment Account for a three year initiative to assist ministries in executing a project to make Forest Stewardship Plan related data more accessible.

The purpose of this three year project is to improve licensee access through corporate service offerings to identified datasets collected under the FIA Land Based Investment Program, and information needed in support of Forest Stewardship Plan (FSP) development and Forest and Range Practices Act (FRPA) implementation.
The project employs a project management model requiring regular reporting of status and achievements by sub-project leads.

Early in 2007, the Forest Investment Council approved funding for fiscal year 2008 from the Forest Investment Account to assist ministries in executing a project to make Forest Stewardship Plan related data more accessible. The Integrated Land Management Bureau took on project sponsorship and project management of this cross-ministry initiative.
Forest Investment Account (FIA)
Funding Allocations by Custodial Participant - Spring 2007
Based on dataset review and prioritization, and original estimates provided to the Forest Investment Council, FIA funding was allocated as shown to participating organizations to support project work. Organizations are expected to leverage internal operational funding, in addition to any FIA funds provided, to ensure successful project completions.
