Requirements
There are a number of items required to use the BCACSm.
- GPS Receiver - The user is responsible for acquiring a suitable GPS receiver and obtaining training prior to applying for an account. It is expected that the client will have reasonable familiarity with equipment and understanding of how to configure it for RTK/DGPS operation. User may discuss with service provider company (GMI) about the validation of the GPS receiver intended to use with the service.
- Handset - The user will obtain a handset with a data plan activated before applying for an account. A list of validated handsets can be here.
- Training - The customer is responsible for obtaining training to operate their GPS equipment. GMI will provide training
in using the handset with the GPS service, including selection of base stations,
use of Ntrip, selection of appropriate correction format, etc.
