The BC Active Control System (BCACS) network comprises permanent, continuously operating Global Positioning System (GPS) base stations linked to Victoria via telecommunication networks. It provides raw GPS observables from GPS receivers located on very precise and accurately located geodetic control monumentation.

The raw GPS observables allow the users to correct the coordinates obtained with their single GPS receivers to achieve positions accurate to less than 3 metres to cm-level accuracy (depending on the quality of their GPS receiver).

This subscription allows the user to download unlimited amounts of GPS base station data for a one year term. If you do not want a subscription to the BCACS service, then the user can still "pay-per-download" via the MASCOT website and applying for a standard account.
