Tantalis spatial data consists of a seamless fabric of current and historical Crown Land survey data and Crown land tenure information (also called cadastral information) spanning the extent of British Columbia. It also includes several types of Administrative areas ( e.g. Land District, Regional District, Municipalities, etc.) relevant to land disposition. Tantalis spatial data was compiled using coordinate geometry and referenced to existing survey control and to the Terrain Resource Information Management (TRIM) geographical data available at the time of compilation. Unit staff also work closely with the Registry Attribute group to ensure spatial representation of Crown land Registry Management (RM) records are accurate and complete. Data can be viewed though Online Cadastre and access to the data is through the Geographic Warehouse (formerly known as the Land and Resource Data Warehouse - LRDW) with a BCeID.
