Overview
The original TRIM program, consisting of 7027 digital files, was completed in December 1996. For several reasons, it was necessary for the data to be updated. The map compilation photography was as much as 15 years out of date. The Forest Practices Code put greater demand on increased information content for features such as roads, stream, forest openings and such. This lead to the development of the TRIM II program.
The TRIM program consists of updating the 1:20 000 TRIM data to new specifications, producing an orthophoto for each 1:20 000 map sheet (ortho specs), limited 1:10 000 and 1:5 000 mapping. The mapping is done from 1:40 000 scale, black and white photography. There is also an aerial triangulation specification.
