Provincial Roll-up Reporting, Monitoring and Performance Measurement

Spatial Analysis Branch are experts in the integration and analysis of information from various sources to provide roll-up reporting and monitoring for government and non-government clients. We are partnering with a number of government and non-government agencies to develop environment, socio-economic, and economic development monitoring and performance reporting tools.

Examples of Spatial Analysis Branch projects in this area include:

  • State of the Forests
    • Working with the Ministry of Forests to report on forest areas by species, age, historic conditions, protected status and degree of road building
  • State of the Environment
    • Developing indicators of road density, road crossings, estuary use and protection, and community watersheds for Environmental Trends 2002
  • Strategic Land Use Planning Tracking and Monitoring
    • Developing real-time website to show current information on all land use plans in British Columbia
  • Protected Areas Strategy
    • GAP analysis and provincial roll-up reporting on status of protected areas in British Columbia
