Origin Notes and History

Kwiniek Creek adopted in the 1930 BC Gazetteer; confirmed 4 November 1948 on 103/NE. Spelling changed to Kwinhak Creek 6 August 1953 on 103P on the advice of Mr. Calder Sr., resident of Lachkaltsap. Name changed to Ksedin Creek 30 September 1964 on map 103 I-J on the further advice of Mr. Calder's son. Form of name changed to Ksi Mat'in per Nisga'a Treaty, Appendix F-3, effective 11 May 2000.
