Xhlaawit [sic] is a sacred mountain with 3 peaks. It was one of the 4 mountains on which the Nisga'a survived the Great Flood. As explained by Sigidimnak' Angaye'e, Nisga'a Elder: "the shape of the mountain peak is likened to a xhlaawim gan/ a V-shaped stem or limb of a tree." [Note that spelling provided by Ayuukhl Nisga'a Department, differs from spelling in Nisga'a Treaty.]
